Beneath it, in large print and Braille, was a single word.
GRADUATION.
Elliot reached into his jacket and pulled out the ceremony program.
“I was missing one thing.”
Hannah laughed softly.
He handed her the program.
Together, they slid it into the empty sleeve.
The principal stood first.
A teacher beside her followed.
Then parents began rising around the auditorium, and within seconds the applause was loud enough that Hannah stopped trying to wipe away her tears.
